With so many deadlines and tasks in our work it is easy to lose touch with our creative selves.
Yet this creativity is a vital resource for meeting our goals in ways that will have the greatest impact.
Throughout the year-long process of creating their community-wide exhibit, South Chicago youth and adults alike were challenged to reconnect with their inner artist and to convey their green stories in unique, powerful ways—as through this mural created by The Zone.
At the display-making workshop hosted by The Field Museum at the South Chicago Public Library, community leaders and residents turned recycled windows and shutters into beautiful displays promoting energy efficiency and other environmentally-friendly practices in the neighborhood.
