With four different groups partnering to create this site, the team had a very ambitiousvision for what they wanted to accomplish. But the project's budget was limited.
To build a site that would meet everyone's needs, the team needed to bring in more resources.The partners decided to collaborate on a grassroots fundraising campaign.
Some partners secured donated materials and labor from local contractors; some reached out to nurseries for donated plants; and others solicited donations from local businesses.
Everyone came together to organize a big fundraiser at a local green restaurant, Simone’s. All together, the team raised several thousand dollars in donations, not to mention the labor given by many tireless volunteers.
